Hello

        I believe everyone matters. I hope to help children overcome both perceived and real obstacles so they can discover their true selves. Because I know what it feels like to be different and even ostracized, I write. Growing up, my family moved frequently, and fitting into new environments was often a challenge. Often, I played alone. I designed my own paper dolls and then created stories for them.  I leaned on my imagination and creativity to uncover my strengths and love my true self.

        My years teaching in elementary and secondary schools inspired thousands of students to explore creativity with confidence and compassion in my writing and art classes. Today, I write and illustrate children’s books that support social‑emotional learning, encouraging young readers to try new things, solve problems, and celebrate their unique strengths. My work blends imaginative storytelling with gentle guidance, hopefully making my books favorites in classrooms, libraries, and family read‑aloud times. Through Divine Sparks Creations, I continue my lifelong mission: offering stories and illustrations that uplift, empower, and spark joy. I also offer school visits to share my work and teach art.

        I delight in creating magical, mischievous characters—from glitter‑covered ants to tenderhearted dragons—designed to help children laugh, wonder, and grow. I pour my creative energy into theatrical scenery and picture book art, celebrating courage, kindness, and the beauty of trying. Through Divine Sparks Creations, I invite young readers into colorful worlds where imagination leads the way and every child’s inner spark matters.
